Shipping and deliveries

Most orders will be dispatched in 1-2 business days of payment confirmation.

As we continue to adapt to the current climate we are also working within limitations regarding shipping times, supplier stock levels, fuel cost increases and labour. As such, there may be a delay in the dispatch and delivery of some goods. For anything urgent, please Contact Us to check on stock levels and delivery times.

Standard shipping:

Standard shipping delivery times will range from 3-12 business days in metropolitan cities and may take up to 7-15 business days in rural areas and WA Metro. Standard shipping will be calculated at checkout and starts at $10 for your first item and increases accordingly for every extra kilogram added. The rate per kilogram is determined by what state the item/items are going to. Please take into consideration that interstate deliveries may vary depending on time of year and demand for freight.

Express shipping:

Express or expedited shipping is still available and will continue to be prioritised by our couriers but may not always meet next business day delivery standard. Please contact us for details at orders@idyllicoutdoors.com.au for further information.

Logistics companies we use:
  • Australia Post
  • Express Post (Australia Post)
  • Aramex Courier
  • Star Track
  • Please note: Oversized items that cannot be serviced by Aramex due to area restrictions will be sent via Star Track . All orders sent via Star Track will automatically be given an Authority to Leave at the specified shipping address.

Receiving your order

If Australia Post is delivering your order, they will have the authority to ‘leave in a safe place’ without a signature at your address. If they are unable to deliver or leave they will take it to your local post office for collection. Australia Post should leave a calling card giving you the heads up but in case they forget (because hey, delivery drivers are human too!) please keep an eye on your tracking number in your shipping confirmation email.

Caring for your items

For address changes after your order has been shipped please contact Australia Post. We would love to help, but we just can’t. Sorry! You can reach their customer service team on 13 11 18.

We want your items to last for as long as possible. There are a few simple things you can do to make sure that happens.

Don’t overinflate your floats:

The amount of air in your float will shrink and expand depending on a whole heap of factors, the weather being the biggest one. This means heat from the sun will increase the amount of air in your float.

Unfortunately, if your float is already inflated to capacity and you take it out for a day in the summer sun, it will likely over inflate and get a hole in it.

Remember, air can shrink in the cold:

When you are inflating your new float make sure you don’t get rid of all the wrinkles (they’ll go away eventually). Once inflated, the float should be firm but not hard to avoid damage and punctures.

Please keep in mind that the air in your float will also shrink in cold weather and water. For example, if you leave your new float out overnight you might wake up to find it looking a little droopy. This it totally normal, it just needs a bit of a pump up and you’ll be ready spend the day out on the water again.

Store your float in a dry, cool place:

Most of our floats are made from super durable 0.20-0.30mm, Phthalate free PVC that can withstand some pretty crazy weather. However, even the hardiest of materials don’t like being exposed to the elements 24/7.

We recommend that once you’re done enjoying your float, you deflate it (our pumps can help with that), dry it off, and store in a cool, dry place.

Keeping your float inflated overnight won’t be a disaster, but we recommend that you avoid storing them in direct sunlight for long periods of time. This way, your new float friend can hang around for as long as possible!

Keep your float clean:

Salt and chlorine can have a detrimental effect on most materials, so we recommend that you give your float a rinse off in fresh water after use and put it out to air dry. No soap needed, just keep it simple and your new float friend will stay looking brand-new for much longer.
